LA ROUX

LA ROUX's album went on sale yesterday!
I have listened to it a couple of times, and I'm liking what I hear.
Not blown away, but I like it. Fun and fresh
Here's the first album review found in The Guardian

SHED SOME LIGHT

You can also get these lamps from HAY. I think they are really cool and quirky.

HAY

For our new apartment we have sought inspiration from different places.
We have bought this red neon light from HAY.
It reminds me of Red Light District in Amsterdam combined with a funky club scene.
The neon light is like this one from the blog Carpe+item only in red.

SUNDAY

Mmm.. This has been a great Sunday.
Even though it's cloudy and me and my boyfriend have homework..
Don't want to remind myself of that right now.
It's Sunday.. I feel like the feel in the song.

LYKKE LI

I've been listening a lot to the album "Youth Novel" by Lykke Li.

This is my favourite song on the album. I really, really like it
I'll go out on a limb and say that this is one of my top favourite songs of all time (I can't sit still!!)
DANCE DANCE DANCE
Here performing with Bon Iver

The previous post with Franz Ferdinand "No You Girls" features various girls with large dresses dancing around the band while they perform the trackfashion. This video by Lykke Li is in the same spirit. Yeah, ok, Franz Ferdinand's video is more disco'ish and Lykke Li's is more .. .. something or other.. Still fashion pops at you while you are watching
"Breaking it up" by Lykke Li
This video is a filmed photo shoot!

MGMT & Talking Heads

I heart Talking Heads and dig MGMT.

MGMT cover of "This Must be the Place" by TALKING HEADS
This was in MGMT's early days, as you can see.
Charming and makes me smile.

This is the "original"
Went to a David Byrne concert not so long ago.
It was awsome!!
